Scalloping Charters! July 1st – September 24th.
Our scalloping charters are 5 hours long and are conducted daily at 7:00 AM and 12:30 PM. This adventure is fun for the entire family and is best compared to an underwater treasure hunt. You can expect water depths of 6 – 8 feet so being comfortable in the water and knowing how to swim is required. On this trip, all of your snorkeling gear is included along with the required state fishing license for each participant. The limit of scallops that can be harvested per trip is set by the State of Florida at 2 gallons per person with a maximum of 10 gallons per boat. On our trips we provide both a licensed USCG Captain AND and In Water Guide who will help you find scallops and assist you both while in the water and on the boat. Your scallop guide will be in the water with you and your family and will also take photographs which will be available for review and purchase should you want to take them home with you. We limit our scalloping trips to no more than 6 participants per boat. If you would like to reserve the boat as a private trip, with just you and your family or friends, simply purchase all 6 available seats during the booking process and the boat will be reserved for just your family. This is an adventure suitable for the entire family but we do recommend children be at least 7 years old and be good swimmers. For a small fee, we will be happy to cook your scallops for you when you return to Shrimp Landing and create a meal for your family complete with French Fries and Hushpuppies. You can choose from Fried, Blackened, or Sauteed. Just inquire at the seafood market upon your return to the docks.
